An interesting mix of color and texture, this bracelet features red African jasper; turquoise from the American Southwest; carved and dyed bone from Indonesia; Austrian Swarovski crystal; and silver from Bali and Thailand. Adding whimsical charm is a smiling hippo, a miniature Japanese netsuke of CITES-certified fossilized mammoth ivory, delicately formed and signed by the carver. The epigram bead, of sterling silver by artist Anne Choi, reads “It is never too late to be what you might have been” ~ a quote attributed to writer George Eliot. Bracelet fits most wrists comfortably. |
